Clear.ai Transforms Qube Global's Freight Forwarding into an AI-First Operation

Successful 18-week enterprise deployment eliminates manual data entry across forwarding, customs and billing, shifting Qube Global to AI-first operations.

SYDNEY, 28 August 2026Clear.ai today announced the successful transformation of Qube Global’s freight forwarding business through the deployment of Clear.ai’s AI-native freight and customs platform.

The announcement was made at the Australia & New Zealand Shipping & Logistics Conference, hosted by Freight & Trade Alliance (FTA), the Australian Peak Shippers Association (APSA) and the New Zealand Cargo Owners Council (NZCOC).

The milestone marks a significant shift for the industry: manual data entry has been removed from Qube Global’s freight forwarding operations, replacing traditional, process-heavy workflows with an autonomous, AI-first operating model.

Rather than simply digitising existing processes, Clear.ai worked alongside Qube to redesign how freight moves through the business. Autonomous AI agents are now embedded directly into live operational workflows, handling routine operational work while Qube’s people focus on exceptions, commercial decisions and customer relationships.

A New Operating Model for Freight Forwarding

Enterprise forwarding software migrations have traditionally taken months or years and often amount to moving existing processes into a new system.

Qube took a different approach. Over 18 weeks, Clear.ai worked across Qube Global’s forwarding, customs and billing operations, combining system migration with a broader redesign of how work is executed.

Under the new model, routine operational work progresses automatically, with Qube’s teams stepping in where human judgement, experience and context are most valuable.

Clear.ai now supports Qube Global across the core functions of its freight forwarding operation:

Autonomous Operations Inbox: Incoming customer and carrier communications, documentation and operational requests are automatically interpreted, classified and routed into live execution workflows.

AI Document Processing: Commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading and other freight documents are automatically identified, extracted and cross-checked against live shipment information.

Integrated Border Compliance: Direct integration with the Australian Border Force Integrated Cargo System enables licensed customs brokers to lodge customs entries directly within the same platform.

Proactive Shipment Visibility: Native port, vessel and container tracking runs continuously inside the platform, helping operational teams identify changes earlier and communicate proactively with customers.

Integrated Financial Operations: Work-in-progress, accruals, multi-currency accounting and financial workflows operate alongside shipment execution, reducing the separation between physical operations and financial processing.

The transformation demonstrates how autonomous AI can move beyond isolated pilots and individual productivity tools into the core of a complex, high-volume freight forwarding operation.

For Qube Global, the result is not simply faster software. It is a fundamentally different way of working: routine work is executed automatically, while people focus on the decisions, exceptions and relationships where they add the greatest value.

Executive Commentary

Anthony Wan, Founder of Clear.ai, said:

“Qube didn’t come to us looking to make its existing operation a little faster. They came with the vision to rebuild their entire freight forwarding operations around AI.

Enterprise migrations of this scale can take many months or even years. Qube completed the transition to Clear.ai in just 18 weeks across a complex, high-volume operation, while radically increasing the capacity of its team. They saw early what autonomous agents could make possible and had the conviction to redesign the business around them.

We believe the future of freight forwarding is AI-native. Clear.ai exists to help freight companies get there.”

John Digney, Director – Logistics and Infrastructure, Qube Holdings said:

"True digital transformation isn't about giving people better tools to do the same old tasks—it's about fundamentally changing what work gets done. In our forwarding business, we have completely removed data entry. That entire category of manual work is gone.

Our people no longer spend their days rekeying data from emails and PDFs. Instead, they lead on high-value commercial decisions, proactive customer engagement, and complex exception management.

What Clear.ai allowed us to do was build an operation that is AI-first by design, giving Qube an unparalleled speed and accuracy advantage in the market.  Our dedicated team have fundamentally transformed the way we operate and interact with our global customers.”
